AHAD Minutes November 3 2005
President Jackie Banning called the November meeting of AHAD to order.
The Minutes were read and approved.
The president in lieu of the treasurer being absent gave the treasurer’s report. We currently have 378.53 in the horse show account, 343.26 in the AHAD checking account, and 7450.37 in the regular savings account, 5484.84 in a PNC certificate, and 4168.20 in a Discover Certificate for a total of $17825.20. The PNC Certificate matures on November 7th so it was decided to put in a one year CD at a higher rate. A motion was also made to Take $3000.00 out of the regular savings account and put it in a CD to earn more interest.
Membership There is no change in membership since last month. A new revised membership application was available at the meeting. There are some changes in the membership structure with AHA and these changes were discussed. The applications will be going out in the mail soon with a letter hi-lighting the changes. So look for that in your mailbox.
Youth: No report
Endurance/Racing: No Report
Promotion: Don’t forget that we are having a booth at the U of De Ag day on January 21,2006 at the De Fairgrounds. If you have any interest in helping or have anything to hand out please let me know. My e-mail is khennobi@ce.net and my Phone Number is 302-856-6048.
Web Site: The minutes of each meeting will now be up on the web site each month and will also be in the Arabian News. We voted to pay Jennifer Wilson’s AHA membership for 2006 for her work on the web site. Thanks so much Jen for all your work.
The club will be going to the lippazann show on Saturday November 26th in Philadelphia. The cost per person is $57.00 this includes the bus ride from Milford to Philadelphia and back. The show is at 2:30 PM. The bus will leave from Milford at 11:15 AM and we will be stopping fro dinner on the way back.
We will be holding elections in December, so if you want to run for office come to the meeting. The slate for officers is Pres Jackie Banning, V-Pres Jody Grey, Treas Barbara Leighton, Secretary Resi Wolfe, Membership Edwina Mootz and Youth Ashley Leighton and Jody Grey
The next meeting will be December 1, 2005 at the Redden Educational Center at 7:00 PM. We will be having our annual Christmas Cookie exchange. So come and enjoy some great cookies. The meeting will begin at 7:00 Pm See you there and Happy Thanksgiving
