AHAD Minutes October6, 2005
The October Meeting of AHAD was called to order By President Jackie Banning.
The Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
The treasurer’s report was read and approved.
Membership Report. We have 51 AHA Adult members, 7 AHA youth members, 12 AHAD Adult and 2 AHAD Youth. Due to the changes in AHA membership this year we voted to raise the Youth Membership to cover our expenses. New membership Applications will be mailed out shortly.
At the Sept meeting going to the Races at Delaware Park was discussed, The date selected was October 23rd, where we would meet with Lyn Ashby and see some of her horses work. Upon further discussion it was decided not to do this as it wuld make for a very long day. We then decided to go on Saturday October 15th because this was a big Stakes Race Weekend for the Arabians. We will meet at Delaware Park in the parking lot at 12:00 PM and go in together as a group. If you are planning to go give Jody Gray a call at 302-337-8232 and let her know so we will have an idea of who’s coming .
It was decided not to have a Class A show in 2006, since we could not get dates that were suitable at the fairgrounds. Instead we are going to have a one day Open fun show, maybe at Winter Place in Salisbury. This show would be open to everyone. If you have any ideas let Jim Hudson know at 302-684-8447.
Jennifer Wilson has done our web page for us. She has offeres to do a page for each member for $20.00. This page would be part of the AHAD web site but would be for each member. If you are interested Contact Jennifer Wilson at 302-424-7883. She would also like members to submit photos of the members and their horses doing what they like best. Also any news that you would like her to put on the web site get it to Jenn.
The University of Delaware is having an Agriculture Week at the Harrington Fairgrounds in January. Equine day is January 21, 2006 and AHAD has purchased a booth. So if you have anything you would like to Display or would like to help man the booth please let Resi Wolfe Know at 302-856-6048 or e-mail me at khennobi@ce.net.

November Meeting will be Thursday November 3rd at the Redden Forest Educational Building in Georgetown De at 7:00 PM it is a Fruit and Veggies with Dip night so bring your favorite.
