AHAD Minutes September 7th, 2006
The meeting was called to order by President Jackie Banning with 10 members present.
OLD BUSINESS:
The meeting started with a re-cap of events AHAD offered or was involved with during the previous year. In addition to our monthly meetings, AHAD participated in or offered 12 different horse activities including trail rides, open houses, trips, booths at expo’s, and social gatherings.
NEW BUSINESS:
The September meeting of AHAD was exciting and hopefully the enthusiasm will carry forward for the year! We had a great turnout, with some members that we haven’t seen in a while in attendance.
We also outlined a few new goals for the upcoming year including the class ‘A’ show, updating the web site, and placing advertising that will be geared to potential new members and increasing people’s awareness of the Arabian horse.
It is great there is so much interest in the future of the Arabian horse here on Delmarva!
We finished our meeting with delicious snacks including homemade strawberry pie, fruit and cheese with crackers and a lot of goodies in between.
Our next meeting is Thursday, October 5, 7:00pm at the Redden Educational Center, Redden State Forest Headquarters located on East Redden Road, Georgetown, Delaware.
